Using SahiSujhav with a keyboard or screen reader
Nothing here needs a mouse. This page is a short tour of the accessible features we build into every tool, the keys that move you around, and how our journeys behave with NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver and TalkBack.
Keyboard shortcuts
Every control on the site is reachable with Tab and has a visible focus ring, so you can always see where you are.
Keyboard-only walkthrough mode
Turn it on and a coach panel follows your focus on every page: it names the control you are on, its role, and its position in the tab order — plus it flags anything with a weak focus ring, a missing name or a target that is too small. Nothing moves your focus for you, so what you feel is the real tab order. Press Esc or Alt + K to leave.
Inside the panel you can also pick a single page section to walk through, and type a tab-stop number to jump straight to it — handy for re-checking one control without tabbing from the top.
Already tabbed to the control you care about? Use “Start from my current focus” — it picks up the last control you focused, scopes the walkthrough to the section around it, and works out that control’s tab-stop number for you.

- Move forward or backward through links, buttons and form fields.

- Follow a link or press the focused button.
- Space
- Press a button, tick a checkbox, or scroll the page when nothing is focused.
- Ctrl + K (⌘ + K on Mac)
- Open global search — jump to any tool, review or article by name.
- Arrow Left / Right
- Switch between tabs, such as the Diagnose / Decide / Dispute / Rebuild stages on the CIBIL page.
- Home / End
- Jump to the first or last tab in a tab row.
- Esc
- Close a dialog, drawer, search box or announcement popup.
- Alt + K
- Turn the keyboard walkthrough mode on or off on any page.
Accessible features already built in
Skip to main content
Press Tab once on any page: the first stop is a “Skip to content” link that jumps you past the header straight into the page body.
Screen-reader announcements
Steps in our journeys (Sahi Rate, Escape the Payday loan, CIBIL recovery) announce the stage you land on through a polite live region, so you always hear where you are.
Quiet mode
A “Quiet mode” button sits at the bottom-left of every page. It removes motion, animation and loud emphasis — useful when you are stressed or sensitive to movement. Your choice is remembered on your device.
Contrast and dark theme
Every colour pairing is checked against WCAG AA contrast in our build, in both light and dark themes. Nothing depends on colour alone — status is always spelled out in words too.
Large tap targets
Buttons and links are at least 44×44 pixels on mobile, so they are usable with a shaky hand, a stylus or switch control.
Labelled forms and inputs
Every field has a visible or spoken label, errors are described in text next to the field, and no journey depends on a hover-only control.
Navigating with a screen reader
Each page has one main landmark, one level-1 heading, and headings in order — so heading and landmark navigation is the fastest way through.

- Press H to move heading to heading, D for landmarks (banner, main, footer), K for links, and Insert + F7 for a full elements list.
- JAWS (Windows)
- Press H for headings, R for regions, Insert + F6 for a heading list. Forms mode starts automatically inside our calculators.
- VoiceOver (iPhone / iPad)
- Swipe right to read in order, or use the rotor (twist two fingers) and choose Headings to jump between sections. Double-tap to activate.
- VoiceOver (Mac)
- Control + Option + Right Arrow to read next, Control + Option + U for the rotor, Control + Option + Space to activate.
- TalkBack (Android)
- Swipe right to read next, swipe up or down to change reading granularity to Headings, double-tap to activate.

The first heading after the skip link asks what is going wrong right now. Each option is a plain link — Tab to the one that matches and press Enter.

The True APR tool is a single labelled form. Tab through amount, tenure and fees, then press Enter to hear the verdict read out as text, not just a chart.

Work through a CIBIL recovery stage
Tab to the stage tabs, then use Arrow keys, Home and End. The active stage is announced, and the panel itself takes focus so your reading cursor lands inside it.
